LSU at Alexandria is dedicated to preserving a peaceful and safe environment for the entire University community. Students, faculty, staff and visitors are urged to be aware of and alert to the possible existence of criminal activity on campus and to report all crimes or suspicious activity to the University Police.
The University Police Office is located in Chambers Hall 144, telephone (318) 473-6427 or in case of an emergency “Dial 911”. LSUA has four full time POST Certified Police Officers, commissioned as State Police Officers under the provisions of Louisiana R.S. 17:1805. Each officer has successfully completed a minimum of 300-440 hours of formal Police Academy Training and are commissioned by the Louisiana Department of Public Safety. Each officer has full “arrest” powers and our department has an average of over 15 years of experience as a law enforcement officer. LSUA also now has one “four legged” Police Officer. “Peggy” is the newest addition to our Police Department. She has been recognized as one of the “top Narcotic Interdiction” Police K-9’s in the State of Louisiana. Remember: “Just say, NO!” To drugs on our campus.
If there are any questions or comments, please feel free to contact our department. If there are any concerns, or you would like to report any criminal behavior or activity you can remain unanimous. ALL reports are investigated by this department.
